Said the shadows; untold
Mysteries of such majestic marbles
Swimming with subterranean blue
Sharp and seductive
Cold and cruel
What do these eyes mean to you?
Black blurs holding the mirror up high
To show such wonderful eyes in the sky
The vibrating mass mumbled viciously
Such a spectacle for them to see
"Eyes", bellowed the blur, "are the window to the soul
Hence the mirror", low and behold
They could gaze past the protective door
To study over secrets, worries and more
All that this captive creature held dear
Black blurs penetrated her heart
To experiment into this so called spirit
Ghostly tarred figures soaked in her soul
Venomous viscous vile substances
Black as coal,
Damaged her demeanour, killed her character
Screaming with substantiation of their wildest dreams
They dug deeper to taste her damaged seams,
To burrow their dizzy darkened life forms in her head
Tormenting her terribly, tearing her soul to shreds
Whilst outside in the open sandy desert where the sun shines
A gorgeous glowing angel held by roses and vines
With her back so beautifully arched in a seductive pose
So silently still whilst the wild roses grow
Dead forever for anyone can tell
Her essential eyes were replaced by untamed nature, nasty.
As other captured cold, penetrating eyes look on at the shell;
Void of what had kept her from hell
Trapped in their own glassy prison of pain
Without your soul there’s no need to be sane
Once done with their searching, they dump the dead
To rot in their desert of misery and dread
Their eyes forever locked in an icy inferno
Conflicting images will confused them so
For it will never end, this maddening shroud
Of eyeless souls shrieking silently loud.

Desenho Surreal
I only really make obvious references with the picture from stanza 4 but that isnt exactly bad. Strange, in psychology i once drew eyes in round shaped mirror/glass just like the ones in the picture, except they were being held high by some black shadow - hense that reference - but i always wondered, if the eyes were with the shadows, where was the body? This picture has given me the answers!!
Brilliant art work, inspiring!

This was quite something to take a persons breath away.
I regret to say it's not quite right for the contest, but it's still a mindblowingly good poem.
