Dramatic Play

Like a child in dramatic play
all dressed up for tea,
they show adult behavior
as the women they choose to be.

The use of their imagination
is a part of play date fun,
they behave like mothers
in calming their little one.

A baby doll they cuddle
and hold in loving arm,
they imitate their mothers
as they protect from harm.

Children may copy others
what they hear them say,
they will try to be like them
throughout their dramatic play.

Let's be careful what we do
around a child's watchful eye,
they need a good example
or in trouble they may cry.

Tears of misunderstanding
come from a child's heart,
what a child sees around them
is a part of them from the start.

Ah you took me by the hand with your write, took me right back to when my children were small.
I am smiling right now, a sweet write, thank you for that.

But, this write is how you see those children and you are not the child self, I suppose that I was hoping more for this to be in I form (I am sorry, don't really know the proper term for that)

A impressive poem, thank you for entering.
