Take not my breathe away
not til I am finished
and won this human race.
Then I'll receive your mercy
and grace.
Only my Lord with your strength
and might
will I be able to resist
that which is irresistible temptations
I alone am helpless to beat.
So when my body weakens
and my stamina becomes low...
when the going gets heavy
and pace begins to slow
your light, My Lord,
comes from above
fills me with encouragement
and I...
I continue to believe.
So I promise my Lord
I will keep resisting until the very end
though Satan himself is around the bend
I'll keep my faith
and defend
til your grace
I'll receive in the end.

this was a beautiful poem, i liked how you brought a little religion into it, i dont see that around here very much. i liked how you said you'd keep resisting, thats my favorite part. i think anyone who is down should read this, this'll give them hope. one thing though, it didn't flow as nicely as it could've. but i really liked it! good job

The thought itself is very beautifull leading to the message which makes the love so universal in terms of its treatment and that is the strength of the poetry...
