Burning me like fire,
in the way you live your lies
Always tearing at my heart,
a million wrongs that you deny
Telling me you love me,
and then spending time away
Feeding my emotions hate,
while scantly we play
Desires turned to icy stone,
when kissing your deceit
You’ve stolen all I had to give,
and now you do retreat
Leaving me a gaping hole,
where love once did reside
Alone and naked on the bed,
with no where left to hide
Defying me to be the man,
I was the day we met
I give up hope and cast you out,
no longer do I sweat
And in the distance hear the roar,
my thunder to return
I don’t care whose arms you wear,
I’m not the one who burns
This stormy night does cleanse my soul,
to finally set me free
Once again, the man I was,
for all the world to see
