Gentle breeze
subsiding regret,
calm my nerves
you take effect.
Emerald dreams
and all pain dies,
beware her grasp
addiction cries.
Looking back
at time since past,
solutions slim
and problems vast.
Future waits
with sins and deeds,
break the habit
and be set free.

Sad, powerful, a great entry to my contest, even though I asked for prose.

Thank you for entering.
