Friendship's Splinter

here i lie, thinking it through
and i come to the conclusion: it was me but then you.
i know i was wrong, but your retaliation is blown out of proportion.
what use is it to you, to flaunt such strength, mute and cold?

my apology held no potency, you still ignore me.

this hurts me.
don't you know?
how imature.

your holding a grudge, against something so small.
well, i'll tell you something. this really isn't nice, funny or cool.

what use is it to you, to flaunt such strength, mute and cold?
neglect, can be worse than abuse, i am told.

What did you think

    Welcome to AllPoetry!

    This is a really good poem - I like the effect of the repetition in this poem, and the harshness of your words make this very powerful I enjoyed this poem!

    Whut are you on about you "can't write poetry"?
    Crazy girl! I really like this one, and I haven't even got to the other two yet.

    Really love the last bit, and how you end with "I am told"... I like poems that bring in the influence of other people on your own feelings and views.

    Also, I like the consistency. This poem is like free-verse rhyme... I just can't get bored. ;___;
