So few achieve the dreams of all
in a game where the chips are heartstrings
that chirp and call
of a purpose beyond the mundane.
Such potential for the arresting
situation that strikes so few. Like lightening:
rare, wresting
and so tempting for the outcast.
Agape, eros , philia, storge
in its truest form, not that proclaimed by
movies, books
but a three dimensional, all-encompassing experience.
How it should be, rather than the mundane:
the over-used, over-worked, over-done, over-relished
‘I love you’
that promises so much, but delivers so little.
For God’s sakes, if you feel this thrill,
the twinkle that starts in the heart and grows to a surge
express it
bake a cake, or lay down your life.
But don’t say
‘I love you’.
