It was I that held you,
While you drew that fatal breath
My cat green eyes, they pitied you
Whilst I lead you to your death
It was I that saw you
And I that died, as I watched you fade
This was my last gift to you
And now, all debts are paid
It was not I that saw you
The nigh of your stolen innocence
But it was I that held you
When your whole world fell to bits
Now you can betray me
And call me things I am not?
I truly thought you knew me
But maybe you forgot
So now the death knell tolls for you
And it is I who ring it clear
This horrid fate would not have befallen you
Had you only tried to stay near?
It was tonight I took you
To the warmth of the bed you knew
And, it is I who drained you
Your precious blood, I withdrew
