In Spring I loved her
as the world started to thaw
I felt the joy of God in her eyes
as we lay beside each other
In Summer I loved her
the world was hot around us
but in her eyes I saw peace
as we kissed
In Fall I loved her
the world grew old around us
yet I saw the warmth of forever in her eyes
as we made love
In Winter I loved her
the world grew ever drearier around us
but her eyes brought me back to joy
as we sat holding hands
It is Spring again and I love her
the world do what it will
in her eyes I see she loves me
as we celebrate our year.
