Delightfully gorgeous was the dawn
promises of a bright day of renew
stretching each muscle with a yawn
positive attitude must be my view.
Memories of shadows remain with me
yesterday’s misery forecasting doubts
I won’t let my heart and mind disagree
night mares are vivid, I’ll not think about
Forgotten troubles left on the doorstep
hope lies on the horizon of today
unsteady as a child taking first step
giving a proper perspective portray
If yesterday is over, there’s only now,
time to make amends with myself somehow.

Very seductive, in an indecisive sort of way. It may be universal, I suppose I have felt that way, but I am beginning, belatedly, to conclude that women are more prone to these kinds of uncertainties than men; and that they like men, not despite their outward appearance as thoughtless, oafish, lumps of dough, but because of it.
