The thrumming of our drums
set off the sparks and the composer
sets on an adventure of adversity and beauty.
Each breath exhaled into the flutes
and twining fingers to the harps
a lovely sound resounds the walls
closing our masterpiece in.
While love festers in every line
the notes rising higher and getting stronger
each beat a new rythmn for the dancer;
We'll soar across skies played by violins
and the keys of our souls will triumph
the ebony and ivory look on the world.
Love is such a glorious symphony.

Well....everyone knows I'm in love! And well we both love music, so why not write about love as though a symphony?

This is a beautiful way of describing love! Music and love,for me, aren't that different. They can both make you happy when you are sad and make you feel better about who you are. My favorite lines are:

Beautiful, just beautiful. Wonderful use of metaphors and symbolism. This is really a great piece. I think you could have expanded it a little more to tie the thought of love and music in to one another a bit more, but over all its still a nice piece. Good luck in the contest!
