Can a wolf love? Some say not, but I know better, for I know of one that does.
When a wolf loves, she loves completely, honestly, loyally, and for a time beyond the understanding of most. She loves strong, and deeply. She will stand beside him, lay with him, love with him. She will fight by his side always, and ne’er regret the wounds she receives in battle whilst defending him..
She will stay with her mate for as long as he wishes, and sometimes longer. She is often cold, and receiving love is not a thing she knows well, but a thing she will learn....if her mate will but show her how.
She will wash away her mate’s tears with her warm kisses, and her healing breath. When hurt, if he is true, she will accept him fully, and with trust in her eyes, mind, and heart.
How do I know this, one may ask? I know it because I am such a wolf, and you are my mate...
And I will love you, trust you, honour you, and ever be at your side.
I love you, dear, and welcome you into my life, my heart, and my soul.

This should show my readers that, while I do have a dark and jaded side, I also have hope, now that someone has found me, and shown me my worth. I thank you, Dear One, for all you've done, and all you shall ever do.

When i read the title i wasn't sure if i'd like this poem. However, it was unlike anything i've ever read before and it worked great. I loved it. It's strange to think it's written about wolves but gets the message across perfectly. Good work, thank you for sharing.

You wrote it so beautifuly. The way you captured the meaning of love is amazing, and even greater so that you showed how we wolves are also loving.
Your choice of words is also very good.
Being totally frank, I don't beleive there is a way to improve this poem. Aside the fact that a poem can never be wrong, and love is always beautiful, its truely written well and with a meaning so great that I wish the whole world could read it.
Its truely a amazing write. I cherish it much.
