Tears laced with salty heartache
pour from devastated eyes
as he speaks such words of insolence,
and I'm forced to realize
that I just lost my dad today.
Pain inside like none before;
a cracking heart breaks even more
and another piece falls to the floor.
I just lost my dad today.
Biting words attack a cramping mind.
I see the end where I saw more time.
In it's grave all hope now lies.
What a waste this love I gave.
I have lost my dad today.
Soul-deep agony; spirit bruised
one goes down and there's more to lose.
The horizon darkens as my sun retreats.
I've not much life left to deplete.
I just lost my dad today.

I guess I should add to this:
He could have died or run away,
and I believe I'd feel so much less pain,
but instead he only died to me;
everyone else sure still to be
fixtures in his life.
My dad tore me from his heart today.

I think you should put that stanza in as the last stanza.
Im sorry you got so hurt. I hope everything works out for you hun. Keep your head up. You know who you are.
