Maybe it’s the ambiguity, the moments in between,
the road that’s beckoning me forward.
Today I found clarity.
There’s a purpose in the struggle,
I’ve known that for awhile now.
It’s in these uphill battles we discover
who we are, who we’re meant to be.
There’s a bigger world out there,
calling out my name.
And you said I should go, and I know that you’re right.
These opportunities, so rare,
do not wait for love and angels.
May
is fast approaching, with all its tears and goodbyes.
I would crumble if I knew that forever started then.
A year together and our paths diverge. But somewhere
they will meet again. And in that moment
we will come back to today, knowing a lifetime
could not outlive our love.
Author notes
Please, remember me
Happily
By the rosebush laughing
With bruises on my chin
The time when
We counted every black car passing
Your house beneath the hill
And up until
Someone caught us in the kitchen
With maps, a mountain range,
A piggy bank
A vision too removed to mention...
- Iron & Wine "The Trapeze Swinger"
A year in Colorado. Mountains and coffee, snow and ice, late nights and memories. The journey's been amazing. The friendships everlasting. If only the outstretched arms of one of the best schools in the country could make goodbyes easier...
As X said so perfectly as he tearfully told me I should go, "I lovehate you, Meghan. And I mean that in the best possible way."
Te quiero, mi amor...

I’m the happiest/saddest I’ve ever been.
Maybe it’s the ambiguity, the moments in between,
the road that’s beckoning me forward.
such meaning in just the first three lines...I loved this poem
goodbyes are always so sad....but there's something thrilling in going your own ways... -
lovely..lovely...and so wisely written
and tenderly so....
many of our goodbyes
lead us to hello.....
may you always cherish
the lessons your friends have taught
and the memory of their laughter
fill you..when your heart loses hope.
Good luck in your new Adventures!
