The Song of the Christian Soldier!

    

Oh Lord, you have control of my heart and soul
You let me know I am saved from horrid sin
And I have my finger on the trigger
So I can kill those heathens again and again!

I never stop singing songs to the Lord
As I know God loves a nice hymn tune
As I fire my bullets off twenty-four/seven
Under the sun and under the bright moon!

I read the Bible all night (except when I'm asleep)
And I pray with my brave chaplain twice a day
How we love to kill Satan's evil spawn
It's nearly as nice as having a real good pray!

Only by the force of the gun can the world be free
And I am happy to slaughter the wicked foe
Filling their sinful carcasses full of US lead
Cos I'm a Christian God-fearing GI Joe!

    I kinda like your take on Military Christianity - I just goes to prove that righteousness CAN be administered out of the barrel of a gun - even G.W.Bush knew that - and thats how the aboriginals of north American got a healthy dose of righteousness. warmongers will have their day in the highest court of heaven - may God have mercy on their souls - Joe - dobar dan - keep on keeping on - much truth comes forth in your writes ----------------------------------------- peace

      Unfortunately the good Lord chose not to have invented guns in biblical days. Or else, Jesus would have given Pontius Pilate a bellyful of hot lead.

    As a christian mtself I can see the truth in this poem - how sad that Chistianity has come to administering a false message out of the barrel of a gun and somehow becoming entangled with the evil warmongers - warmongers will not enter the Kingdom of God.     'You shall not murder.'

    The 10 Commandments - God's Revelation in the Old Testament
    The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible's Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20. They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:



    "And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…

    ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

    TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

    THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

    FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

    FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

    SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

    SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

    EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

    NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

    TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

      PRAISE THE LORD & CURSE ALL SINNERS TO HADES!

      You are correct. God asked Moses if he would like some commandments and offered him FIVE. Moses asked how much the commandments were and GOD said they were totally free, so Moses said, "I'll have a double portion, then." And that is why there are TEN not FIVE. God will also CRUSH all sinners except US soldiers who are JESUS's ARMY, engaged in SLAUGHTERING the spawn of Satan. Have a nice Easter.

    a great work with an important message - not to mention a seething undertone of - oh sarcasm shall we say. You, like the good book itself, are full of contradictions - and so i treat you both alike - i use whatever passage/message goes with my mood at the time - there's one in there for everyone in the audience if you take the time to read it.
