Building, rising tall and strong
as if you're reaching for the periwinkle heavens
always wanting more than you can get.
Rumbling like a hungry lion
in the climax of his hunt
creeping forward with careful precision
a careful tie of azure and cerulean
with deep beige and denim eyes
streaks of a sapphire smile - so captivating...
Holding me tightly in your majestic arms
we shoot like an ultramarine star
running towards the midnight sky
and then, tensing like a puma
you crash us into the surf
leaving finger nail streaks of indigo
the only sign of what we had.
as if you're reaching for the periwinkle heavens
always wanting more than you can get.
Rumbling like a hungry lion
in the climax of his hunt
creeping forward with careful precision
a careful tie of azure and cerulean
with deep beige and denim eyes
streaks of a sapphire smile - so captivating...
Holding me tightly in your majestic arms
we shoot like an ultramarine star
running towards the midnight sky
and then, tensing like a puma
you crash us into the surf
leaving finger nail streaks of indigo
the only sign of what we had.
Author notes
I chose options number 7
This is mostly written about an ex boyfriend I'm dealing with right now. He was an tidal wave, picking me up and helping us rise and whenever he felt like it making us crash into the obliging sand.
I chose the color blue because his eyes held weird shades of blue and brown.

I truly can relate to this honey as I've been treated this way myself. Beautiful imagery and expression, I'm sorry you know the same pain I knew. Great metaphor.

mmmmm blue. so many blues. all brilliant. loved the use of them. it made me think of how sometimes at twilight everything glows blue: the leaves, concrete, car windshields, skin, houses. it's so amazing. well, more majestic, yeah, that's a better word for it.
the imagery in this was incredible. I loved the ocean and the height, up in a blue sky. also, I liked the lion bit, which is fire, like a leo [I'm one and our zodic, or at least in wicca- I used to be really into that- element is fire] and how it was like water haloing around a spark. the evaporation and sizzling.
this was beautiful, both soft and intense.
