You took the warmth of spring with you

The tears connect like magnets,
tumbling slowly over my skin,
It is winter as of now,
You took the warmth of spring with you.
My smile is tucked safely in your pocket.
When your lips brushed mine,
They pulled my heart out from my chest,
and it was placed in your grasp.
My eyes took in each farewell step,
My chest is now just and empty cavity.
But my hands are filled with your heart.
My lips are capturing my tears,
Fear is friends with my mind.
I Continue to tell myself,
It's only time, It's only time.
Quickly it may pass.
Though still, One cannot be two.
when two are meant to be one.

I love the title so much, I admire the metaphors you've used... and the last two lines are brilliant
