Celebrity culture; what a con!
The lives of people we’ve never known,
Just met, read about, commented on,
Matter as much than that which we own,
This person can score an awesome goal,
That woman looks pretty when made up,
He once bought an acclaimed racehorse foal,
I’d rather drink from a poisoned cup,
Than be known for anything like that!
What about every silent hero,
Who really deserve our cultures praise?
Firemen, doctors, even lawyers,
Societies ignorance does amaze...
