Bond

Tinted window eyes but you saw right through
Knew what I thought when I exchanged glances with you
You always knew what my words intended
Always saw the truth when I pretended
Past the secrets, the lies I couldn't tell
Grabbing hold of my hand every time I fell
I felt your emotions from miles away
You said you were leaving but I wished you'd stay
We spoke of friends and we spoke of guys
Gossiping, laughing, dissecting the lies
You would tell stories while I laughed along
Helped me take pictures or sing me a song
And that was a bond that we both knew
That was the friendship I had with you
