such a strange gift

it was the sunniest day
i was happy and life was great
i spotted him walking towards me
looking as handsome as ever

i still remember the bliss
a kiss and a warm embrace
he had something for me
it was small and poorly wrapped

he told me not to open it
i had to wait until he left
he scampered onto the next bus
about 30 seconds later

i unwrapped the ribbons
and found a handwritten note
inside, which read

'... you're dumped
i'm going out with deborah now
you kiss good though'

it was my 16th birthday

    lol what a dick. I think its funy, but i never got the whole "dumping someone on an important day" thing. So many people i know this has happened to valetine's day, or christmas or anniversaries. anyways good piece simple and straightforward, putting smiles on faces

    hahahah this reminds me of the time a girl dumped me on valentines day. i believe i was also 16. she had come to watch my football game and payed some girl to run up and kiss me so she could make a scene infront of everyone and break up with me.

    ahhh highschool...
