Bad Seeds

there once was a boy
that lived for a time
in the joys of youth's
reason and rhyme

with eyes bright and black
and a heart made of gold
would one day be made
forever dead and cold

his owner, the witch
dressed in sexy silk
nursed the boy
on her poisoned milk

the boy suckled deep
and grew to a lad
twisted and warped
corrupt and sad

the witch you see
put things in his head
and played games with his mind
and games in his bed

what else could he do
but follow her plan
at the edge of innocence
she'd made him a man

the secrets ran deep
the games traveled far
from the beaches of paradise
to the backseat of the car

and though a hole in the wall
the witch would gaze
while her boy took his sister
in a bubble-bath glaze

the witch watched her own story
night after night
in the guise of her own children
just out of plain sight

for she had to suffer
her demons without cure
she'd never been innocent
young or pure

so the boy loved his witch
his mother, his lover
until one day
she found ... another

then anger took hold
confusion and strife
where was his witch
where was his wife?

But she had her wants
she had her needs
and gold she craved
more than his seed

so the boy claimed  his sister
and tied her up tight
tortured and took her
night after night

the witch traveled far
in search of fresh meat
while her pet-children
mated at her feet

the girl screamed for help
but no one would hear
her days were a blur
her nights were a tear

then one day it happened
the witch found a new steed
but this one was different
though he was great to breed

so the witch found a new pet
and forgot her own son
who begged her to love him
like she had once done

but the witch was now busy
dazzled by her new whim
he was tall he was handsome
just the right amount trim

his humor enticed her
his wounds made her smile
she'd use this one up
for maybe a while

but the witch didn't realize
that her steed had a mind
that he saw though the rot
creeping under the rind

he was drawn from a  prayer
spoken into the rain
from a hope of a girl
to be freed of her pain

but the witch was crafty
cleaver and mean
and cast a deep spell
so her house appeared clean

but he was no fool
he could still feel the sorrow
and soon he could see
what awaited, tomorrow

time passed and things changed
and the knight he did battle
but no one would talk
no one would tattle

then one day it happened
the boy fought his keeper
he screamed "someone save me
before i fall deeper"

but the witch feared her pet
he knew far to much
so she had him locked up
out of sight, out of touch

but the witch hadn't realized
her new knight was a shaman
and her spells had been broken
by magic, uncommon

and the witch feared her knight
she feared for her plan
she would have to leave
and find a new man

but the witch forgot one thing
in her gingerbread house
she forgot about the lion
that was once her pet mouse

the girl warned the knight
the girl told her tale
of horror and deeds
far beyond the pale

she told him her stories
she told him her fears
she told him her sorrow
of a billion tears

he swore to avenge her
and to save all in his charge
but the witch was a dragon
vicious and large

but the dragon grew careless
when she succumbed to regrets
and while she was crying
the knight freed her slave pets

now all that remains
is the oath to complete
the princesses are safe
thanks to a hasty retreat

a new spell is cast
by the shaman knight scribe
woe be to the witch
for harming his tribe

she'll suffer in poison
she'll decay in her mind
and the prince she still holds
will be freed, in kind

her day will come
for the end draws near
and when it does
the forest will cheer

and when the knights oath is complete
and the witch is res-roasting
the knight shall not drink
to the cheers and the toasting

fore the knight would weep
ice tears in the sand
for the boy he couldn't save
from the witch's cruel hand

she'd called them mistakes
she'd called them bad seeds
but in the end her own poison
would make her die for her deeds
