From somewhere beyond my line of sight
I feel you penetrate my life;
slowly and effortlessly creeping up to me.
Fear and terror are all I see.
As though black paint has filled my eyes
and ice has filled my pants
the fear consumes my sight
and offers me a dance.
Into fear's grasp I collapse back;
sharp pain from head to toe!
I lose all feeling everywhere,
and then off the cliff we go.
You kept me locked away inside
the dungeon of my mind!
You kept me from living a single day
in a life I could call mine!
You made it so not one soul knows
the truth behind my eyes!
You made me bleed a toxic death
caused by all your lies!
A brief, yet pleasant, sense of happiness
skims across the surface of my thoughts.
Then I frown again as I meet my end realizing
that, due to fear, my life has been for nought!

Very powerful! Fear is one thing that can save us if there is only a slight amount of fear, or it can completely comsume us and destroy us if we let it... You are an awesome poet! Keep up the great writing!

beautiful and dark
but its screams at me
fear is a very powerful thing indeed
to often we let it run our life
