You are glorious.
In your shy tedious way
Like a field of bombs
You are easily set off
A trigger is all too simple
I breathe out,
Breath condensing in mere seconds
This place is cold and unforgiving
Put your arm around me, please.
You are determined.
Everything is carved in stone
Your opinions never changing
Those big mudslide eyes contain more
Than you show.
Than I can ever know.
You are mysterious
I never know when you're merely faking
To get attention
Or when your feelings are screaming
And I am just not fast enough to quiet them.
The temperature drops twenty degrees
In the blink of an eye
I stare into those mudslides
And I see a galaxy
Vast
And
Unexplored.

I've decided to write a series of poems for all the important people in my life. Yup. Guess who this is.
