~Lovers Death~

Missing image

Only the moon

greets me.

my heart weeps; stuck

in this abyss of loneliness.

Gone are the days of

breathless kisses lovers

gaze.

Darkness calls my name

this unrequited love hidden

deep inside my shame….

Oh foolish heart die a

lovers death let this time

be gone be over with.

Stripped down and lovely. I can't write like this.
One of my favorite song lyrics is:
    "Dirty your face
    with long and grace
    God given...
    Suffer her heart
    and love her when
    your love goes unrequited"
-"Rotten Apples" by the Smashing Pumpkins

this is a wonderfully fragile elegy of the broken heart, and i especially like it that you have the moon on top and the darkeness below, that there remains hope no matter how deep the well of longing. -silverfish
