Heaven

I like to believe,
That peace awaits,
for all who bleed,
behind those gates,

Like cool waters,
In life's desert sands,
to quench our thirst,
and cleanse our hands,

To bring us quiet,
Inside our souls,
to heal the scrapes,
and fill these holes,

I like to believe,
that I will see your face,
at the end of our days,
In another place,

Like feathers,
These clouds beneath our feet,
And paved with gold,
are these beautiful streets,

And we are never lonely,
we are never sad,
we remember every happy moment,
and forget about the bad

Please tell me what you think

    Underlying this poem

is a desire to understand Heaven and underlying that is an understanding that all is not well for so many on our planet. Heaven, for me, is beyond my wildest imaginings.
Thank you for this simple but profound poem, Cylis. Ron.
