The fabric chafes my skin. In a good way, it embraces
My thick and thin, my scarlet and ivory.
So soft, inviting, it makes a beautiful sound.
Subtle, like bells. An almost delicate scratching.
Meant for angels, not me, hiding in the reds
And the purples. Too rich colors.
It isn’t mine. If it were, I could breathe.
But it feels like every rustle of this dress…
Brings more heat to my face.
I feel like a princess. Will you rescue me tonight?

Good imagery in this piece you bring the touch of velvet alive. I enjoyed this piece you have entered. Good luck in the contest.
