Davis' Plea

Green leaves glow in the dwindling daylight.
Her heart is pounding.
Like mine.

Tonight is the night we had been awaiting.
The time will be here soon.
Will she kill me?

Why couldn't I help her?
Why wasn't I stronger?
That mutt made me change an innocent life.

If I don't die tonight
That bastard will.

Please Tannis,
Don't hate me forever.
Don't kill me,
Not before I can make this up to you.

Oh my God.
She is glorious.

Author notes

Ok I am doing freewriting to find where I am heading with the Tannis story. So comments would be nice but you don't have to. As indicated this is from the point of view of Davis on the first night he takes Tannis out.

What did you think?
