day after day
i'm not me anymore
i've been changed in ways
that are completely irreversible
taken from me were the things
that i loved and needed
in order to be happy
i won't ever be the same again
for they've stripped me of my wings
my only sense of freedom
and they've thrown them away
they've set them free
