Sometimes all it takes
is just a little spark
to make even the most fearsome hearts
come alive in the dark.
Add some wind,
watch the grass burn
and flames consume
all that hearts may yearn.
Like wildfire
these lovers dance dangerously
and love boldly -
until a gust of wind comes along
that brings a torrent of rain...
like a terrible midnight song
it quenches the beauty that came.
Have faith
for the time will come again
when the wildfire shall return
in the hearts of loving men.

This is a beautiful dedication. I felt the sincerity in your poem. You are the first in my contest to receive that comment about your sincerity. Thank you for entering the contest and best of luck to you. kahy

I will admit that I lack the technical precision that many have, but I try above all else to be sincere and truthful in my writing, as I do in real life.
