Death's waltz..

Hanging out the window sill
staring at the sky
and breathing gets harder
i know you left me for dead

And all the lies i swallowed
poisened slowly from inside
making mistakes i thought were smart
forgetting my own name
these things are not uncommon, no
but part of how i fall

Now he'd say he loves me
and i suppose i should believe
but the tears in my eyes
speak enough for the heart
and this time i will walk away
far away to the grave

With truth's echoing in my ear's
and my voice flowing among the tree's
i can scream with all my might
but no-one will ever come, no
with death whispering in my ear
the shadows dance, but i can-not

but i will yet still

So walking through this glade of snowdrops
hand in hand with a hooded cloak
i will spin with arm's spread wide
catching the last few drops of life
as the daylight keep's on fading
my life the dusk is draining

Freezing arm's around my waist
a breath of frost from a gentle kiss
as were leaving footprint's in the snow
this is the only true joy, true love
that my time can bring
dancing in the stillness
loved in death's arm's

As the silence closes down behind us
and i step through to the beyond
you have no idea what you've done
leaving me in a freezing tower
with nothing left to warm my heart
but a frozen heart can still beat
even as the dark retreats

My words are sung softly
falling among the breeze of new dawn
and the last thing you did
to destroy my fragile heart
created a dream anew

you left me for dead..
  and death loved me.......
