A time to hope
I await this time every morning and night
And when it comes, I wish
Not upon a star
But upon my soul

I wish for something different
Wish that something shall change
Being careful about how I word this wish
For something bad could come if worded wrong
So I have learned

I wished for love
What I got was unwanted
Someone who seemed to stalk me through the day
Someone unwanted in my life
