in butterfly dreams of color,
for senses awaken in dawn’s light,
bestowing adoration to wonder
leggy limbs embraced with eager buds
request warmth of sun’s first kiss
to replenish
whilst pitter patter melodies
whisper between cool winds,
chasing riverside reflections
that trickle into swelling seas
tiny swirls of sand
dance in twists to recover stance,
patiently awaiting imprints
pressed slowly
from lover’s frolic
in twilight’s crisp exposure
star drops sparkle;
capturing the essence
of sweet wishes
upon wanting wings
as nature recites
another reason of season;
heart’s hope blooms...
