Love is an absolute. It is an absolute certainty. And yes, I'm certain.
Too many people see it as an escape. A respite. A vaccation from the day to day turmoil. They're wrong. Love is the day to day turmoil we fight for. It is life itself. I've seen a few go down in my time. I've seen how easily people put aside their "passion" because it's too hard to bear. They feel the respite's over, the vaccation's ended, and they can move back into life none the worse for wear. Well yes, passion is hard to handle. Love is a terrible burden to bear. And those that abandon it may have an easier time of it, but love is an absolute, and as such, it can never be abandoned. Those who manage to escape are still wounded. And their character is flawed for having run.
You don't live by running. You don't love by viewing it as an escape from the world. You live by loving. And you love by viewing it AS the world.

Thank you very much, though i was disqualified because I did not put "macbeth" in the authors comment. A stupid disqualification I feel. and a stupid idea to begin with.

Pretty monologue, you worded it very tastefully, extremely rhythmic. You made some well stated thoughts presented in a enviable manner, even if I did not agree with all of it (on most I agreed) it's hard not to listen to your words openly, well supported they are.
Sorry for not giving you a critique based on structure ect as you did on mine, but there isn't really anything more I can say for I found that all was in order.
Well goodluck with the contest, take care. -
This is very profound, and I agree, "love is an absolute", it is an essential part of our very being. You have absolutely captured tht with this monologue. This is an easy sure read. I thnak you for your heartfelt entry and I wish you good luck.
Much Love,
Renee
