WELCOME!!!!

Let's start off with the rules.

It is your job to keep up with these challenges. I will not be sending messages out with each new challenge. All links will be posted on the group board, in the thread with the title "Challenges". That is not a place for your comments... Let's keep that thread uncluttered to make it simple to follow. The links will also be found on my page in the collection titled "Poetic Challenge Season Eight". If you have any problems during this challenge, please contact me or one of the judges. This way we can handle any arguements and wrongdoings in the appropriate manner. NEVER be insulting to another poet during this challenge. Never be disrespectful to our judges. If you feel that a judge has ruled unfairly or has been excessively rude to you... CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY. YOU MUST LEAVE THE LINKS to your challenge poems in the comments section of the page ON OR BEFORE DEADLINE. No late entries will be excepted, unless you have been given an extension by me. Also, be sure to watch the challenge thread for freebie contests or bonus point grabs. This is a great way to earn trophies and points!!

So let's get on with the challenge.

For your first challenge. I want to see what you are working with. Write a fresh piece in form or freeverse, which ever you feel that you like better. Metaphors are looked upon as GREAT! I only ask you to steer clear of CLICHE!

This cannot be a prewrite. Not in any of the challenges you will recieve will accept prewrites. ONLY FRESH!

ALSO, In your authors notes please state whether you prefer freeverse or form poetry and tell us why.

These challenges will certainly be getting much harder! So buckle in!! lol!

Your deadline is Monday April 6, 2009 @ 8:00 P.M. (est)
