Falling through endless time,
My mind cannot be cleared,
From a falsely accused crime,
and a punishment to be feared.
Look into his ageless face,
Wrinkled though it may be.
Along the lines you trace,
So the sands of time you see.
The hourglass may run low,
But Father Time has eternity.
His sands will forever flow,
Changing in peaceful serenity.
The end should not be feared,
Nor punishment for the crime.
By Father's hands you will be cleared,
Throughout the sands of time.
Author notes
A parallel between God and Father Time. The shadow of innocence in the "guilty one" is there. Let me know what you think....this is my first poem in a long time. My muse has been lost for quite some time now.
Please tell me what you think
