Sunset

I felt the afternoon wane
Through an opaque haze, in deathlike stillness
Rigor mortis existence, frozen in time
Ageless
A sparkling banner thrown across the heavens
Until I beheld the rising moon and smiled
Lo, night hath come
And I thirst

Please tell me what you think

  • Frozen IN time:-) Nice.

  • Wonderful piece here. Short, yet full of the darkness to come this night. You thirst, the moon is full, and you will soon be on the hunt. Great imagery that this piece holds within. Keep writing

ah this is good. Short but I really do like it. I am not real sure though... after first i thought it was about death... suicide even.

Then in what I think of as a new stanza beginning wth "a sparkling banner" and I now think that it is a vampires poem.

But either way, it is a good write. Thanks for sharing this with us. Good job!

Glad to see you writing. I haven't read much of yor work lately. I have been missing it I guess. Hope you are doing well.
