Blinking the unspent tears away
Trying to laugh along with me
Lips trembling but you grit your teeth
Breathe deep and sing
Push the quaver from that note
Lose yourself in the song
Forget the burning in your eyes
The lump in your throat
The ache in your chest
Sigh and wait till it ends
Accept the well meant embrace
Steeled to the sympathy that might crack your fortitude

sigh and wait til it ends... to go through something difficult is hard even with a good friend there.... unbearable without one though. thank you for your entry
