It is Titled Life

I've a poem in my heart.

Hear it if you can.

It always hears you!

I've a poem in my heart.

Bless it if you will.

It continually blesses you!

Yes, it hears

and blesses;

knows and sees.

I've a poem in my heart.

It is titled

'Life'.

    Wow

this little gem speaks for all of us, a superb poem from
everybodys heart "life" if only we all had the same sentiment in our hearts

Too often, as people in this world, we let the bs that has been placed upon us by years and years of corruption and oppression blind us to the fact that we are not helpless but enabled and free. Not by any document or parchment; we are free because the spirit of man must ultimately be free or die off. There is a great sentiment in this poem that is powerful to the person that holds onto it. kudos

      amen to that

you have expressed my sentiment/world view precisely in a sentence. it's odd that sometimes we don't know where we're writing from, but only what we're writing about. thanks for the generous comment!

      • Odd?

"it's odd that sometimes we don't know where we're writing from, but only what we're writing about."

I don't think it's odd at all. I think its beautifully mysterious.

This had a real Charles Bukowski feel to it..
    blue bird...
..there's a blue bird in my heart that wants to get out..
    Same tone ....
    just excellent...
    this has true stated beauty.....
...I've a poem in my heart......
    ...it is titled
    ...'life'.

a poem called life...sometimes in flowing rhyme...
and others in jagged edge free verse...

    Stunning work lass,
    Lowell Poe.

Ah, this is lovely! The rhythm is interesting and effective. I don't think I've ever read one quite like it. Well done!

  • You know there's something funny about that poem's title... it's so familiar, I can't quite....

You know there's something funny about life, I don't know if you know this... it's delicious.
