.
I cannot deny the professions
cannot quell the words spoken...
how I have longed-
sought for
time such as this
simply to BE
no more than I AM
and to live as no less
I have wandered far from eternal shore
yet I find myself alone with wet feet again
trying to fill my sieve with teapots
instead of the baptism by drowning...
only peeking under the door,
daring not to feast upon my purpose
but fall shame to flesh over and over
madness clings to me in the form of reason
things spoken become ash
long gone photos in an overused album
form and substance will not relent,
survival its only aim.
so many shadows
such little life
only in a moment of clarity
that gap between shadow's dark dawnings
that singing release-
a blade in the night
on the cords that bind
and for a moment
this moment
I am truly... free

Worth the wait
It has been too long since I've had the pleasure of your poetic perspective.
I come today to AP, delighting to find this new gem added to your treasure chest of work.
My favorite lines:
"I have wandered far from eternal shore
yet I find myself alone with wet feet again
trying to fill my sieve with teapots
instead of the baptism by drowning..."
You have given me a gift this morning, a sweet tid bit to ponder over my tea.
Be free my friend-

The title: I guess it could only take one, or perhaps that it's more like 'one' contains all.
I read:
S1
I can't deny the desired ideals which are alive in me.
A trust that it's enough to simply be as one really is.
S2
A belief in an 'origin' and a 'return' to it after the possibility of being released from the limitations of relative states of worldly affairs.
S3
Relative 'truths' cannot contain the essential, yet here we are given to live within them.
S4
Even when knowing it's like this, leaving us hungry for that which is greater.
S5,6 & 7
A glimpse, which cuts through appearance to 'wakefulness to the real'.
S8
In this moment I am truly free.
I believe you've expressed very clear and wise considerations for this 'moment' to come about.
Thank you for this entry which shows great insight and very well done.

"and for a moment
this moment
I am truly... free"
Yes... the eternal Moment, so shadowed by tomrrow and yesterday but always Here... and always free...
'Tis a gift to be You

Bravo!
'madness clings to me in the form of reason
things spoken become ash'
In the quiet of morning life reveals
its wonder to me...
The winter now disapates and
spring is here...
Madness took its toll in March but
April will arrive in two days...
This line of yours struck a core
in me...
You poem is wonderful dear Presence!

This topic is elementally deeper than mere words can relate. However ,this piece dives right into those murky depths in self examination in an honest way.The only method one can benefit from would be in honesty. Nice intellectual thoughts delved into here.

This is something much different from you ... a more introspective search in the dark regions. I love the freedom though ... the letting go of lighted truths and the just allowing yourself to BE ... and accepting that moment of authenticity.
Love it Pres!!!

"simply to BE
no more than I AM
and to live as no less"
these words resonate like a sacred mantra within my soul ...
when I first read them, I could sense a realigning of energy-currents that have deviated from their riverbed and caused flooding of peaceful fields with muddy waters of stagnation ...
now, clarity has returned as the phantoms of disturbing thoughts have been melted by the laserbeam of your words ...
thank you for the powerful pointer towards the clear waters of serenity ...
