Born Of The Storm

I.

hot, airless night
late August
heavy ... everything heavy
faint drumming faraway
storm promised
nature's release

II.

your touch electrifying

frightening the passion
thunder overhead
our cries of release
 ... lost ...

to the storm

III.

power lines down
too much rain
water and blood mingle
labour intensifies
bridge washed away
blue leatherette bed
first cry
 ... lost ...

on the wind

IV.

conceived in a storm
born in a storm
your journey traumatic-

may your life have peace
on this ...
the night of your birth

Happy Birthday Sweetheart
One today

    WOW, this is wonderful Sue.
Do you ever had an off day? LOL, if you do you keep them to yourself. I love this take, and I love that you chose to tell the story of the baby. Nice touch, made it more personal, one I can definitely feel throughout.
    Love,

So beautiful, and such a great story! I love the lightening and storm as the backdrop for this story -- it just seems so perfect for your words and the flow of the vignettes. Lovely work, once again. Lita
