i
Sing and play,
oh, season’s host
and that includes for you
a toast
'round a dancing moving earth
ever changing since
its birth
Piccolo your many pleas
blown in tiny
minuscules
tidal winds that must have
missed
the part where God
and you have
kissed.
ii
Dawn and you
are making stir
tree to sky still-born in
myrrh
sparrows pocket
in the grass
deer and fish
will break their
fast
orchid breath
exhale to bees,
since something sweet
is up their sleeves
noon and night
in hopeful prowl
will all together take
a bow.

Lovely! Enchanting verse.

This is beautifully crafted, so much so you barely notice the rhyme in this, just as it should be. Stunning images you paint as well. Best to you

i like this. another one of your light poems. idk if all of them are really like this or if it just gives me that feeling. this one i think is cute. gives me such a good feeling. the beginning gives an oldstyle feeling which i love. good write!

orchid breath exhales to the bee
a great metaphor here of Seasonal changes that still us to cling together.
you give me a great calming centering wholeness after
reading your work.

This is really beautiful. The idea of "change" in general has me intrigued and it's something I've been thinking about, so when I saw your poem with that name I knew it was something I wanted to read. I was not disappointed.

A pleasant write on the changes we see in nature from one season to another. I love the language here, so poetic, and it flowed beautifully. A superb write...alby

ah the ever changing times - i did not like last winter too much as it had a very icy breath but i still hugged it, and was glad when spring surfaced, now i can sit and not shiver with cold, but listen to the birds sing, waking up all in the land. and summer will be here soon, bringing rays and brand new babies (i am a summer baby) - a good piece.

goodness
this has Perfect rhythm...which is rare! it is also quite lovely. nature seems to tell us that change is not only okay, but neccesary!!

Growing by change ...
is a wondrous way to recreate and rejuvenate, in a multi-layered way, don't you think? What a delightful write! In the typical CookieZeal style.
It is as always such a joy to become seasonal with you, evergreen Soul!
Love you, Poetess! How are you?
