With thunder’s first reverberating crack
calmness eagerly replaces agitation;
serenity’s veil washing over me
like water from the downspout.
Lightening streaking across darkened sky.
This amazing moment is my moment.
Each spectacular strike reaching my soul,
recharging my very core; I am reborn.
As nature’s essence pounds to earth
refreshing body and spirit, my heart
dances in perfect rhythm, senses
intoxicated by fresh, dewy fragrance
In most passionate appreciation
I step forward-arms outstretched,
