Mistress Muse

He prays for Resurrection of his words
that lie within the catacombs of thought,
and like a raven shot through fluttering wing,
they seek a healing hand to give them flight.
sweet inspiration is his fickle love,
capricious mistress who will not consent,
she taunts him in a game of hide n' seek
in those brumous corridors of yesterday.
When will she drop the robe of her contempt?

As always, your poetry is amazing.

  • Shouldn't have expected anything less than brilliance from you Di, and I didn't, which is why i'm not surprised by this piece in the slightest.

Descriptive, deep, thought provoking, and a lesson in vocabulary to all readers

Nice abstract theme running through it but simple to follow and very very appealing to the reader,

Great work, thanks for the entry, best of luck in the contest
