Just treat me with respect like before
and don’t judge me as I walk through the door
You see me from afar
and only see the scar
As I walk I limp a lot
the closer I get you act so shocked
My arm is also gone
and you stare, as to ask me what’s wrong
You judge me with your eyes
behind your cold disguise
You can’t feel the warmth that pumps in my heart
you can’t feel the pain that tears me apart.
You just spill the pity
has you stare and giggle silly
Why can’t you open up your mind
and speak a word that’s kind
Judge me not for what you see
till you really get to know me
I am flesh and bones and I feel
and my pain and hurt is real
Life has given me a few raw deals
but I breath the air of life still
Just treat me with respect like before
and don’t judge me as I walk through the door
