I sit on beside my desk
Try to think of a rhyme
But when i finally remember
The thought soon passes by
I hold a pen with gentle fingers
The thoughts of writing soon lingers
I drop my pen on the cold floor
I used to be able to write before
I reach down and pick up the pen
I need to begin writing again
My mind is blocked
The door is locked
To keep people from entering
My light is dim...
I begin to whim
And start to write on the page
The rage the rush
Makes me flush, i begin to rhyme again
Nouns and Verbs
No one can disurb
The things that i am writing
I am at my desk, writing away
Writing so fast
I am writing today
Words running into my mind
Soon to be leaving
If i dont write it in time
I am at my desk still
I dont have the block any more
But i know in the future i will...

describes just the way that thoughts flee. Nice job thank you for entering

Well done. I like this, the rhyming is good and flows well. The redemption at the end is a nice ending; a lot of these have depressing endings. But good job and good luck.

yes
I think it happens to everyone who writes. I have had it for months at a time. Sometimes stress, heartaches, sorrows, or other things just brings it all to a halt and suddenly it all comes back.
You did so well with this. I like how you described it at the end when the block breaks. I have that........ words running into my mind and if I dont record them they will run out just as fast. Great job and I think this is a trophy entry. God bless you, Mark
