although instead of breathing fire
I exhale billowing clouds of sensibility.
If I could fly
I'd travel far and wide
releasing these ivory birds of peace
upon the world
annihilating notions of warfare
drowning hatred in a hope filled fog
healing patience with a haze that could save us all.

Devoutely to be desired
Would that the world were at peace
That love for each other would increase
That stupid wars would decrease
And we'd all cover when we sneeze

"curing patience with a haze that could save us all." I agree with this 100%! and when you can do this swing by my way i neeed a little patience myself. this has great imagery and metephors for a world wich we should have. awesome write!

I very much liked this poem. It got across what you meant to say, I assume, as I don't know what your exact thoughts were while writing this, and the metaphors were well thought out and well crafted. Golden Line: "I exhale billowing clouds of sensibility. "
One thing I don't understand is the line "curing patience..." It doesn't make sense to me, as you seem to be the dragon of peace, and patience is a good virtue. I'd be interested for a response to clear this up for me, as I would love to know what you mean by that.
Have a good one,
SoS

II change it to healing patience would that clear it up?
-
-
Ahh, yeah, that would do it!

Wonderful!
Clear meaning, through careful use of metaphors, and I even "got" the curing patience reference Before I read the comments below. Just remember, this selfsame cloud leads to great ideas like "No matter how much you dislike pickles, it is, after all, the only thing you can do with cucumbers" [that quote from "A Child's Garden of Grass"... an hilarious book that I highly recommend!]

Now this is powerful all we need to do pump all the pollution in the world into a room filled with our world leaders , throw all the money in the centre , let em all fight it out , lock and bolt all the doors and chop down the building just like they do to the world and it just might be a better place ..gr8 write poet

nice thoughts though

Twood be...
magic indeed if dragons could accomplish such things.
But why would you want to "cure" patience??? -
-
okay I apologize, I understand the confusion now
if I said healing patience would that fix it? -
-
No Harm, No Foul
Yes, You could heal patience. (understanding what applies as patience these days is more impatience than patience)
Or you could "cure" impatience.
-
-
Why do doctors who aren't doctors for the money want to cure patients?
I would want to cure patience because impatience triggers anger which is a deadly sin. It's true sometimes we need to be in a hurry but if we have patience through the rush anger won't override our sensibility, thus smoothing out societal chaos.

This was the best part of the poem to me because I feel this same way at times. Great job and I really enjoyed the read. Many blessings!

a good poem though i will waiver here and take step to the side, even though i have pufed the magic dragon and it does give peaceful thouhgts to some, it does not to all. like me for eg. unless i have beer with it it makes me mental, maybe i am mental already though

If only that could be so!
I adore the pictures you have portrayed here, the images you have painted for your readers are magical.
"billowing clouds of sensibility"
My favourite line in the entire piece.
Thank you for sharing this with me!
Kind regards,
Sophie

If only there was a dragon (or something) that could accomplish such a task! How wonderful it would be!

very clever metaphor here. 'exhaling billowing clouds of sensibility'
i dont know, but i can almost picture you, enlarged over the earth dropping them like a peaceful rainfall that sends a fog over the entire area for everyone to breathe in.... at least that is how this plays out in my head... could be totally off. ive been before.
