to pass without a trace
first walk into the back door of the sunset
make a deal with the spider that dwells
in the left-hand corner of the stairwell
ride the white horses back down to the sea
and immerse yourself in its bounty
then look at your reflection as tossed back
by the women of seven names that are one
and ask yourself
why you wanted to lose your shadow in the first place,
anyway?
when you've found the answer,
you'll have lost something,
though perhaps
not what you were trying to lose.
dew
collecting on fleshy green spears
which bend forlornly under their weight
as might serpents
endlessly in search of a meal
which never comes.
meanwhile,
wolves run across the sky
surfeiting themselves on its infinite flocks
and growing fat,
yet always the packs move on these days
without throwing the bones of their kill
to nourish the parched earth.
what has swollen the emptiness of the atmosphere?

This is nice. I like the way it makes your eyes want to get to the next line, you want to read it as quickly as possible, to see what you would write next. Thank you so much,

The last line is cool.
Good luck in your contest! Wish I wasn't too late to enter...
