For Truth, I bow and drink New Wine,
no gorging fat or blood to waste;
and if for reason
there is prick or pain,
it's only from the Pierce of Wood
as morning comes again,
honey-rain deep and needful
past the first and bitter taste.

and if for reason
there is prick or pain,
it's only from the Pierce of Wood
as morning comes again,
honey-rain deep and needful
past the first and bitter taste.
Author notes
"When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter.
(That is why the place is called Marah.) So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him
a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet"Exodus 15:22-25 NIV

Ahah... thanks for explaining
All makes sense now.
You can turn on the filtering on your author settings page I think. -
I've just learned that there are certain words in here that are filtered for certain views. I don't know why it isn't on mine,....and I've asked a Moderator to check on it. Here is how it SHOULD read.
"and if for reason
there is p- r- i- c- k or pain," lol. Well. Glad there's some censoring even if it wasn't used correctly. Least they care.

awesome. I came across this passage a few weeks ago in my devotionals... it's a powerful write; i felt God wash over me as a read it as it brought my thoughts on this passage back to the forefront of my mind
The only criticism would be that 'bunny' feels a tiny bit out of place... but i write that more from being intrigued about what you were trying to achieve through it than through negativity!
Thanks for your comments on my page, and i do play guitar!! I read your author page so 'level 2' would be fantastic whenever you do visit!
In Christ and thanks!

Oh, Myra! You know that it was about 5 thousand years prior to the actual crucifixion where God used this symbolism of things to come to PROVE the Sacrifice of the Cross that made the difference. That it was His Cross that would save us eternally to heaven.
I'm so glad we know. And I hope that the sweetness will be on your heart locally and in the time of 'now'!!!
Thank you and love....CookieZeal/D
