Sepia Tears

Missing image

You played with matches

too close to kindling,

and from a tiny spark

bridges blazed.

Now you’re lost

far away from Eden,

guilty of the crime

with wings too singed to fly.

You don’t have to say a word

I can see it in your eyes:

Sepia tears drip brine

on maiden head of ashen dreams.

Your images speak as clearly as the graphic of rash action and regret. The metaphor of playing with matches setting a bridge alight is inspired. They say laughing changes to crying, here is a case of it.
    I enjoyed reading, good luck!

The title and the whole poem speaks in language of poetry. Short, but strong in meaning. It is interesting how some picture could burst the world of imagination. Great done.
