Bath Time

Muddy Yucky
Grimy dirty
I've been one bad boy
Wet scary
Watery Soapy
I know what she's thinking
I wiggle
I squirm
But I can't get away
That water doses me
That smell goes away
I'm going to drown in flea bath I just know!
Then at last
I'm free
She lets me out
Nothing left
To Do
But Shake

Author notes

I have two adoreable Scotties They both hate bath time. Mr. McGoo hates baths more than Sweet Pea though.

LOL this was cute at first I was thinking you had a small child and it was bath time.

This was a good write for the prompt.
    Well done.

    Very good!

After reading some of your dark poetry, Apathetic Poison, this one reall boosted my spirits!

"Nothing left to do but shake."

That pretty much sums up the dog's view of having been given a bath!

    Ha Ha

Sounds like home! My dog Bernard is a pain in the you know what when bath time comes around. He's ninety pounds of trouble.

    Thanks for entering.

I like that it is light and airy. I can feel the energy of those dogs reading this. I can also see the chaos in the tub! The idea that the dog is thinking he knows what you are thinking is unique. Thanks for the entry. I like the rhythm of this poem. ~ Joyce

PS. I actually think that my Cairn LOVES to smell and look dirty.
